TEI Bank (teibank.com)
John C. Rankin (2008)
When the time is right, and the resources are in place, the TEI will found the TEI Bank. It will be available to members of the TEI Cohort (teicohort.org), and where simplicity, trust and transparency are in place. It will focus the local on outward, with a sound investment policy. A bank, in ethical terms, is a community trust in service to the mutual good in a civil society, and TEI Bank will do that, and also serve the vision of TEI Care (teicare.org).
One priority investment idea is in buying office buildings where TEI Cohort members can rent space (as anyone who works “for” the TEI will do so as self-employed sub-contractors), and thus create genuine entrepreneurial incubation in advancing the Gospel.
